St.Pr. Mare CALMIA by Calypso II
Calmia passed an excellent mare performance test when she was young, where she almost exclusively received grades of 8 and better in all criteria.
further description
She was awarded the state premium and is the mother of three licensed stallions herself, which is certainly not an everyday occurrence. Her very first foal by Glückspilz was admitted to the stallion market and tied up in the 1st Celler lot. In the Hanoverian, one could read at the time that this "lucky hit" certainly embodies the type of horse that is in demand everywhere. The other two licensed sons descended from Stakkato, although unfortunately one of them died much too early. After a successful performance test, he should move into a stud box at the Celle State Stud. The now nine-year-old daughter "Scila Hoy", also descended from Stakkato, is now successful at international level. The full sister of Calmia, the mare "Comeback Zwo" is successful up to advanced level Show jumping and will be used for breeding from 2010. Another full sister, the mare Carina, is successful up to medium level dressage.
The dam line brings highly interesting jumping genes via the Pik König son Picard and Gotthard and Poet xx, with Calmia inbred to the legendary Gotthard via Picard's dam.Another 6 licensed stallions come from this dam line (Cardano by Calypso II/Gimpel/Graphit; Rhytmo by Ritual/Wanderer/Colorado x; Wiener Star by Wienerwald/Weinstock/Prinz Gaylord; Santorin by Sandro/Wienerwald/Gotthard and others)
The international show jumper Goldbirke/Otto Becker also came from this line (Lord Incipit/Graphit/Gotthard)
The current representative of the dam line is the stallion Cicero Z by Carthago-Randel Z-Graphit-Goldlady by Gotthard, who is internationally successful with Dirk Demersmann and is now a breeding stallion at Zangersheide Stud
Three Darco offspring from QUECHUA VH LINDENHOF by Remondo/Graphit/Gotthard were bred in Belgium and successful in international jumping. The line is maintained in Belgium and other interesting sport horses have emerged from it.
